A Human Jukebox
Melton Road Christmas Market
Sunday 15th December 2012
After the great success at The Lady Bay Open Gardensand the Musters Road Open Gardens events, we have been asked to take the jukebox along to the Melton Road Christmas Market. The jukebox will be manned by singers and musicians from The Poppy Folk Club. Simply choose a song that you would like to hear, put a coin in the correct slot, and you will get a live performance. All proceeds collected will go to the Albinism Fellowship.
The jukebox was designed and constructed for us by local artist Rod Bailey. The idea is that each performer writes out a list of songs or tunes that they can perform, and give each one a number. Visitors can then put a coin in a slot and choose a number. The person inside the jukebox will then perform that song for them.
We have various ideas for the future use of the jukebox. If you would like the jukebox at your event, or would just like more information, please email email@example.com.
See here for details of where and when the jukebox will next be out and about.
